The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provides up to $75,000 in grants through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) to organizations that are at “high risk” of a terrorist attack. This funding is available for “target hardening,” such as installing fences or cameras.

DEADLINE: The deadline to turn in applications to your State Administrative Agency (SAA) is Wednesday, April 4 (right before Pesach). The exception is New York, where the deadline is Monday, April 16 (right after Pesach). This is not to be confused with the April 27 deadline listed on the application – that is for the SAA.

Grant Note: Appendix D is the actual grant application. You will answer these questions typed in a Word Document and then send it to the SAA. Appendix E is solely for your information, as it is the scorecard that the State Administrative Agency (SAA) will use to review and score your application.
