Torah Tidbits in the PALM of your hand - Technology serving Torah RECOMMENDATIONS: With Rosh Chodesh Benching this Shabbat, two nice little programs for the Palm come to mind. moon.prc shows the month's calendar (genearl calendar) with a diagram of the phase of the moon for each day. The current day is specifically marked. Tapping on any day of the month will give you several data including the age of the moon in days-hours-minutes and the Moon Age in percentage of a full cycle. You can scroll or choose different months. Data is calculated for 0h UT (that's GMT) for each day. The other program is moon_phase.prc which gives you a large diagram of the day's moon phase and the dates of the major phases: new, half, full, and half. This program also allows you to choose any date or scroll forward or backward for the "today". Either (or both) gives a nice picture of the lunar cycle.
