Those with LUACH might have noticed that Yom Yerushalayim is Thursday, rather than Friday. There was some confusion as to whether YY is pulled back to Thursday when it falls on Friday. Whereas this is so with Yom HaAtzma'ut (if the 5th of Iyar is Friday or Shabbat, Yom HaAtzma'ut is observed on THU), Yom Yerushalayim does not move. Some of the official ceremonies might be earlier to avoid Chilul Shabbat, but YY stays on the 28th of Iyar (for Hallel, etc. purposes). Note too that Yom HaAtzma'ut and Yom Yerushalayim exist on LUACH before 1948 and 1967 respectively. These are some anomalies that might be corrected in future releases of LUACH. Tips: Probably the most useful graffiti tip is for the letter V. Even the Palm maunal itself recommends that one write the V backwards to prevent a U from appearing. A forward V, no matter how sharp the bottom is, still comes out a U, unless you follow the slanted up-stroke with a left-to-right dash. Then you get a V, but it's much easier to write the V backwards in the first place. An upside down V gives you an A. Remember not to write the horizontal bar of the A. The Palm graffiti system will do the A without the horizontal, and the dash will give you a blank space. Upside down U also gives an A. Use whichever is more comfortable. (Here's something weird. A backwards upside down V or U (in other words, a right-to-left A) will not give you any letter, unless you just wrote an A. Then the A changes into a GIMMEL. (Go figure!) Speaking of Hebrew, if you have set the graffiti for Hebrew (by writing an AYIN), then an upside down U or V gives HEI if you write left-to-right and a CHET if you write right-to-left.
