Last Week's PPP (Ba'ha'a'lo't'cha)
Above is last week's PPP with corrected spellings. Several solutions were pretty good, but always with something falling short. I'd say that almost everyone who submitted a solution was close to complete. These include Zvi Roth, MA Brownstein, Ofra Shelnitz, Yaakov BenDavid, ES, Elisha Loewenstern. The Rehovot K's fellshort because of one of my spelling mistakes, otherwise they would have had a perfect solution. They get the runner-up CD this week. Winner of the 3-CD set of Carlebach hits, from Noam Productions - Geula, near Uri's Pizza; Rav Shefa Mall (worth the trip); and Rehov Rabbi Akiva in Bnei Brak, is the one solver who hit everythingright on the head. Perfect solution, even with my spelling mistakes came from MM-Bklyn. And here is the solution set: Satchmo was Louis Armstrong, trumpeter, as in the Chatzotzrot (L'havdil). Gillette as in razor as in the Levi'im who removed all their body hair as part of their inauguration process. Zippo as in lighteras in Aharon HaKohen, the lighter of the Menora. Lasorda, as in Tommy (of the LA Dodgers) as in Tamei as in those who came to Moshe with their problem of not being able to participate in K.P. Thomas Cook is a famous travel agent, as in the travels of the People in the Wilderness. And finally, the semaphore flags spellout MORASHA, a well-known camp, hence, DEGEL MACHANEI so-and-so.
