Last Week's PPP - B'reishit

TT336PPP B'REISHIT
Okay, we're back. PPPs and solvers thereof got knocked around a bit over the Chagim. But
we're back for more fun and games.
[1] The holdover puzzle-equation from Sukkot: D = day of Sukkot.B = number of bulls
brought as part of the Musaf sacrifices. L = number of lambs. This equation holds for all
7 days of Sukkot. L = 14. B ranges from 13 down to 7 as D goes from 1 to 7.
[2] The mansion on the bottom-left is a big house, a big BAYIT, a big letter BET. To its
right is a little hay(stack), as in the little HEI of B'HIBAR'AM.
[3] Next let's go the the triangle with the triangles made of triangles etc. I'm hoping
someone will recognize it as a computer-generated model of the mathematical theory of
CHAOS, a word used to define the state of TOHU VAVOHU. The mathematical term is not the
same as the "regular" meaning of the word, but PPPs are PPPs.
[4] The fishing rod symbolizes man's domination over the fish of the seas, as is
"commanded" in the account of Creation. Furthermore, The word ROD is contained
in the term used by the Torah: U'R'DU and V'YIRDU.
[5] In the instant before the first Shabbat of B'reishit, several special items were
created, as recorded in Pirkei Avot. Two of them are depicted in this PPP - HAMICHTAV (the
letter), and the LUCHOT (calendar and blackboard).
[6] Which brings us to the river that flowed from Gan Eden and split into four heads - as
in the 4 pennies in the PPP. Brina-Beth hit [6] and a few nice tries. Steinhart [6,2ab]
and saw the letter as a CHAVILA with ZAHAV in it, as in 2:11. Not bad. Benjietc. hit [4,6]
with other nice tries (good humor too). Josh B from Silver Spring hit [4] and a nice try.
That's about it. A slow start for PPP
solvers. B'Hatzlacha this week.
Torah Tidbits opened its American-Touch-Football-in-Israel season this past Friday against
Tivuch Shelly and walked away with an impressive 28-0 victory, thanks to QB Asher S, Ari
B, ike K, and the other players. A nice start to what could be a difficult season. TT's
next opponent is Dunkin
Donuts. The game is Friday at12:30pm at the sports field in Ramot Eshkol (Paran).
Spectators are welcome. GO TTEAM GO
