After the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, the Galil became the center of Jewish life in the Land of Israel. During this pre-Tisha B’Av time of remembrance, it is fitting to visit Bet Shearim, Zippori, Tiberias and the burial sites of the righteous personalities of the Rabbinic period.

July 27-29 - 2 nights, 3 days to Eilat

That’s right! Eilat and all that it has to offer: water attractions, hiking, snorkeling, learning, Chevra - Sounds almost too good!!

Option 2

Aug 1-5 - 4 nights, 5 days to the Galil/Golan and Negev

2 nights up north; water hikes, kayaking and canoeing, Kinneret, learning, bonfires, and fun. Then 2 nights down south; Negev, desert, Beduins, Ein Avdat, the Machtesh, scorpions, sunsets - WOW! Can it get any better?

Highlights: Kiryat Arba, Hevron, Carmel and Susiya

Kiryat Arba, a fascinating urban center, is the perfect introduction to an inspiring tour of Hevron, the Machpela Cave, Beit Hadassah, Avraham Avinu neighborhood and Beit Romano. Hevron reveals the foundation of Jewish history, and the rebirth of Jewish life today. Carmel, a contemporary settlement at the site of an ancientJewish village. A French botanist produces exotic fragrances and herbal remedies here, using plants that grow in the region. On to Sussiya. As we walk through the remnants of this Talmudic-era Jewish town, it’s not hard to imagine the bustling everyday life that once thrived here.
