United Nations for Arab Oil

More than three hundred times during its history the United Nations censored its only child, the State of Israel. Arab oil dominated this world body from its inception and continues to dominate it today. In 1947, the UN voted to divide Palestine. Originally, the land began at the Mediterranean and extended eastward to include all of what is today Jordan. Seventy-two percent of the land had been ceded to the Hashemites, a small tribal kingdom from Arabia. Fifteen percent of the land was to be Arab and thirteen percent went to the Jews for a state of their own. The Jews agreed to this partitioning, but the Arabs went to war in defiance of the will of the UN, and this same body unilaterally supported the Arabs.

At the conclusion of WWI, the League of Nations, an international organization that would resolve conflicts, prevent war and stand for universal justice was created. It failed, and disappeared as the German Nazi beast clicked its heels in a march toward world control. Another war had begun and millions perished, including a third of the world’s Jewish population.

To prevent another calamitous war, a new world body was created, headquartered on the shores of New York’s East River. It became humanity’s hope for a new world that would above all defend the downtrodden and prevent future wars. Instead, the UN has become a haven for demagoguery, lies and liars who, from the pulpit of the General Assembly chose to persecute those who survived the Nazi’s cruelty. The same organization that allowed the Zionists to establish a Jewish State declared these Zionists to be racists. If not for the United States veto power at the Security Council, Israel would have been voted out of existence by the UN many years ago.

The cruelty and phoniness of the UN did virtually nothing to prevent wars in Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, the Balkan States and Latin America. The UN seems to simply look away as rivers of innocent blood pours. Cambodia, Rwanda, and most recently Sudan are examples of UN ineptitude. It was not the UN that brought down the Soviet Union and its ambitions for world domination. Ronald Reagan outsmarted the Soviets and ignored the UN.

UN peacekeeping forces have shown themselves to be inept and useless. When Egypt’s Nasser closed Israel’s only access to southern waters, the Straits of Tiran, and sent his army north through the Sinai Peninsula to attack Israel, UN forces packed up and went home leaving Israel at the mercy of a tyrant and his army.

President Bush recently nominated a new UN permanent representative to head the US delegation to the UN. John Bolton, the Undersecretary of State is known to be outspoken and at times abrasive. This career diplomat has, on more than one occasion, spoken harshly of the UN as he repudiated its corruption and support for despotic and totalitarian governments. Most recently, he denounced Syria and correctly warned of Syria’s designs for aggression and its support for terrorism. Bolton seems to be telling the truth. There is even reason to believe that Syria is in possession of weapons of mass destruction and Saddam`s horde of lethal chemicals. True or false, the principal of where there is smoke, there is fire, should at the least provoke enough concern for a thorough investigation. Far be it from the UN to look into this matter, or for its American supporters to demand that Syria’s autocrats be held accountable. The opposite has in fact occurred. Syria has been honoured at the UN and even though it sponsors terrorism, it was given membership to the Security Council and its representative served as the Council’s president for one term.

Although the United States is paying fully one-third of the annual UN budget it is treated with ingratitude and insult. Israel continues to be scorned and isolated, and at the General Assembly there are but two countries that openly support Israel and vote in its favor. They are Micronesia, a tiny island nation and the Marshall Islands.

The treatment of Jews is the benchmark of humankind’s posture toward the downtrodden and persecuted. Without Israel, Heaven forbid, there would be no Jewry. The words Jew and Zionist synonymous. Anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism are the same. Were Jews to depend on world bodies for protection and security the state would have long ceased to exist. Thank G-d for Israel and its Divinely blessed strength which makes it possible for us to withstand the corruption and decadence of the world’s nations whose machinery is greased and whose economies are controlled by bloody Arab oil.
