1) I believe Kosher Fondant is available at KEREKES Restaurant supply, located on 15th Avenue in Boro Park Tel # 718-232-7044. Ask for Pearl. She should be able to help you.
2) As for the cake, unless I have the recipe and know how you made it, it's a little difficult to know what went wrong. Send it to me and maybe I can be of some help.
