imageShabbos Waits for No One
By Chava Willig Levy

Trivia Question

Q. How does the initial pasuk initially give more details than it would seem from a plain reading?

Last Week's Answer

Q. For "fun", make a list of the verbs associated with Yitro in the first 12 p'sukim of the sedra.

Now notice something interesting. In the following 15 p'sukim, see how many times Yitro's name appears and how many times he is referred to as Moshe's father-in-law.

A. Yitro heard, took (twice), came, trembled with joy (different opinions as to what VAYICHAD means), said.

In the second part of Perek 18, his name is not used at all. He is repeatedly referred to only as the father-in-law.
