B
eginner's minyanim for
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

“Our Father, our King, open the gates of heaven to our prayer”

For the upcoming holiday season, many shuls will be offering a Beginner's Service program. These services are designed to guide the newcomer through the traditional prayer service. An explanation of the texts given throughout the service helps give participants a deeper understanding into the meaning of the holiday prayers.

The Orthodox Union has compiled a partial list of Orthodox synagogues that will be conducting a Beginner's Service this year. Other Orthodox congregations are invited to add their minyan information to this list, by sending an e-mail with all relevant information to Rabbi Mayer Waxman at waxmanm@ou.org.
