President Obama addressed via video the Second Presidential Conference in Israel convened by President Shimon Peres. President Obama stated that the friendship between Washington and Jerusalem is a "bond that is much more than a strategic alliance." The President added that, "The American people and the Israeli people share a faith in the future, a belief that democracies can shape their own destiny and that opportunities should be available to all."

Also yesterday, Vice President Joe Biden paid his respects to those who valiantly fought the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.
