Avi Schick, president of the Empire State Development Corporation and long time friend of the Orthodox Union began last week- by request of Elliot Spitzer- his new job as Chairman of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. Mr. Schick will be overseeing, among other things, the rebuilding of Ground Zero. Read the NY Times story here.
