The Bush Administration is being attacked in some quarters for recently promulgating a regulation that would deny federal funds to health care facilities which do not accommodate the conscientious objections of doctors or other health care professionals who cannot participate in abortion procedures.

A self described pro-choice atheist admirably defends the Administrations defense of conscience in today's LA Times.
