President George W. Bush meets with members of the U.S.
Delegation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in
Europe's Anti-Semitism Conference in the Oval Office Tuesday, May
18, 2004.
The members
of the US delegation to the OSCE Conference on Anti-Semitism in
Berlin were honored to meet President
George W. Bush and thank him for his
staunch commitment to fighting anti-Semitism. The very
fact that this Conference took
place was due to the initiative and persistence
of the President and Secretary Colin Powell and their
insistence that Europe address and take
action against the alarming rise in anti-Semitism in those
countries. Noting that the United States has a duty to
expose and confront anti-Semitism
wherever it is found, President Bush reaffirmed his
commitment "to continue to call upon
our friends in Europe to renounce and
fight any anti-Semitism in their midst."
