OU Calls Synagogues to Meet with Elected Officials

Our communications are indispensable to ensuring that our representatives understand our views and act on them. Take time to meet with or invite your elected officials to a “Town Hall” meeting this August. These three items are of utmost importance for Israel: Arafat Accountability Act, the Syria Accountability Act, and U.S. foreign aid for Israel.

ACTION:

1) Call your representative’s office and request an appointment when officials are back in their districts. Contact information can be found at www.senate.gov or call: (202) 224-3121 for Senators and www.house.gov or call: (202) 225-3121 for Representatives.

2) Prepare your key issues and talking points. Invite the community to a moderated meeting or meet with a select group privately. Please see and print our Town Hall Meeting Guide 2002 for guidelines.
