Action Alert!

As the “road map” toward a resolution of the Israel-Palestinian conflict is currently being considered by the Quartet – the U.S., the UN, the EU, and Russia - it is crucial that Congress help ensure an end to Palestinian terror. On June 24th, 2002, President Bush stated that any new Palestinian leadership must be committed to peace with Israel and the destruction of the terrorist infrastructure as well as free of corruption if ever the U.S. could be expected to consider recognition of a provisional Palestinian state. Given our deep concerns over continued Palestinian terrorism, incitement, and support for Saddam Hussein, it is crucial that we urge Congress to support two letters being circulated in the House and Senate urging President Bush to hold fast to the principles he outlined in the June 24th speech.

We are asking you to sign the letter below and send it to your Senators and Representatives urging them to add their names to these important letters. Without an end to violence, no peace is possible. For talking points and more information about this issue, please see the Action Alert on the U.S. Middle East Peace Initiative.
