Below is a resolution proclaiming your synagogue’s, school’s or organization chapter’s solidarity with Israel. We ask that all synagogues and schools adopt this important proclamation at this crucial time and have it adopted by your local governments as well. A Proclamation Of Solidarity With Israel On The
 54th Anniversary Of The State Of Israel

Whereas we, the members of (name of synagogue or group) are
ASSEMBLED on (date) ;

PROUDLY join with communities in Israel and Jews the world over in marking the 54th year since the nations of the world recognized the right of the Jewish people to a sovereign state in the land of Israel and marking the 35th year since the liberation of Jerusalem by the brave men of the Israel Defense Forces, 28 Iyar 5727;

PLEDGE our solidarity and our bond with Medinat Yisrael, the people of Israel in the land of Israel;

RECOGNIZE and support the right and the responsibility of the State of Israel to the defense, security and well-being of her citizens;

SALUTE the accomplishments of the people of Israel in the fields of Torah education, science and agriculture, medicine and so many advanced fields;

RECOGNIZE the links which bind Israel and the Jewish people the world over with Jerusalem as its united capital – indivisible – as the heart and soul of the Jewish people around the world;

JOIN together with the State and people of Israel, and Jews around the globe in Unity and Solidarity;

RESOLVE to visit Israel as soon and as often as possible in support of our brothers and sisters in Israel;

PRAY to the Almighty for the safety and security of Israel and Jerusalem and that He will bless His people with peace;

AND THUS, we do hereby reaffirm our commitment and dedication to these principles;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, we, the membership of __________________ (synagogue, school or organization chapter) join with the Rabbinical Council of America, the Orthodox Union and Jewish communities around the world in reaffirming our solidarity with and unwavering support for the people of Israel and for Jerusalem, her eternal, united capital and pledge to encourage tourism to Israel on every level, and to increase our efforts to educate the public and American policy makers about the unique status of Israel in the life of world Jewry and to strongly urge our government to strengthen its commitments to the special relationship of our country with Israel, maintaining the historic U.S. role as Israel’s staunchest ally.
