  • Responding to Anger in Children – David Pelcovitz, Ph.D.

  • Empowering Your Child to be Socially Successful – Dr. Rona Novick, Ph.D.

“We are a visionary institution with a goal of not just educating the children attending our school, but of extending ourselves to their parents as well. One of the ways we have implemented this is by providing informative workshops for parents that focus on young children,” declared Rabbi Benjamin S. Yasgur, HANC Principal. “We therefore partnered with the OU, a leader in developing and presenting parenting programs. This is part of HANC’s service to its community and to the wider Jewish community as well.”

Mrs. Sari Bacon, Assistant Principal adds, “Here at HANC, we cherish our role as the parents' partners in raising the whole child. By providing parenting seminars, in conjunction with the OU, we show our commitment to this partnership and our commitment to our students.”

According to Frank Buchweitz, OU Director of Community Services and Special Projects, and coordinator of national Positive Jewish Parenting programs, “The workshops address day-to-day situations encountered by parents. The presenters, all outstanding mental health professionals from the Orthodox community, emphasize practical suggestions that enhance parenting skills.”

Pre-registration is not necessary for this program.
