Annual Awards Banquet
for OU/NCSY
West Coast Region a Success
The West Coast Region of the Orthodox Union and
National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) presented its Annual
Awards Banquet on Monday night, June 21, 2004 at the Sephardic Temple in
Westwood, honoring Rabbi Sholom Tendler with the OU Rabbinic Leadership
Award; Dr. Morris and Sharon Silver and Candace Schwartz with the NCSY
Parents of the Year Award; and Dr. Richard and Ellen Katz with the OU
President’s Award.
Ambassador Yuval Rotem, Israel Consul General, Western Region, receives
the "Shomer Yisrael Award" from the Orthodox Union/NCSY - West Coast, in
recognition of his exemplary tenure with the Western office of the
Israel Consulate.
