A panel discussion, Ethical Issues in Dating, is
being sponsored by the Orthodox Union’s Department of Community and
Synagogue Services together with EndTheMadness on Wednesday, June 9 at
Congregation Shearith Israel / Spanish Portuguese Synagogue, from 7:00
p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The synagogue is located at 2 West 70th Street in Manhattan.
Topics will include:
- Is It Ever Appropriate To Date More Than One
Person at a Time?
- Is It Appropriate/Advisable To Compliment Your
Date on His or Her Looks?
- How Should One Go About Breaking Up At Various
Stages of a Relationship?
- Is It Ever Appropriate To Lie About One’s Age
or Background?
- How and Under What Circumstances Should One Try
Long Distance Dating?
- Is It Acceptable To Date People You’ve Known
For a Long Time or Grown Up With?
- What Can the Community Do to Facilitate More
Natural Meetings and Better Introductions?
Rabbis Hayyim Angel and Josh Joseph along with
Michael Feldstein and Chananya Weissman will serve as panelists.
Admission is $10. A deli buffet will be served.
