Fun & Games at New York NCSY’s 12th Annual Chinese Auction

The New York region of the Orthodox Union’s National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) will hold its 12th Annual “Chinese Auction” on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. at the Kingsway, 2902 Kings Highway in Brooklyn.

The theme of this year’s event will be “NCSY: Letters That Build Our Future,” a take-off on the Scrabble word game. The auction has become a popular annual social event, attracting hundreds of participants, including many NCSY alumni. The money raised will support NCSY activities, such as Shabbatonim and help send young people to yeshivas, camps and Israel.

The auction features over 80 prizes, including a trip to London, a state of the art computer system and gift certificates, as well as a hot buffet, raffles and door prizes. Valet parking will be available.

Admission to the program is $15, which includes an $18 coupon redeemable at the event. For more information, visit the New York NCSY website (www.nyncsy.com, where participants can also bid online) or contact the New York NCSY at 718-461-1200.

The Orthodox Union, now in its second century of service to the Jewish community of North America and beyond, is a world leader in community and synagogue services, adult education, youth work through NCSY, political action through the IPA, and advocacy for persons with disabilities through Yachad and Our Way. Its kosher supervision label, the , is the world’s most recognized kosher symbol and can be found on over 275,000 products manufactured in 68 countries around the globe.
