Chicago Couple Honored
For Decades of Youth Work
Rabbi A.Y. and Robin Weinberg of Chicago were honored at the Orthodox Unions
(OU) National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) Ben Zakkai Honor Society Dinner in New
York City. The Weinbergs, who have been involved with NCSY for the past two decades,
were recognized for their devotion to Jewish youth and NCSY.
"Through their deep commitment to the ideals of NCSY, the Weinbergs are
building future generations of Jews," said Mandell I. Ganchrow, M.D., President of
the OU. "Their staunch dedication to outreach has enabled hundreds of youth to find
spiritual meaning and direction," Dr. Ganchrow added.
The Regional Director of the Greater Midwest Region of NCSY as well as the Regional
Director of the Midwest Region of the OU, Rabbi Weinberg has been involved with NCSY since
he was a teenager.
"Rabbi Weinberg and his wife have succeeded in breathing new life into NCSY in the
Midwest, solidifying the NCSY presence in the American heartland while ensuring the future
of the Jewish communitys most prized asset: our youth," said Dr. Ganchrow.
