OU’S RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO VISIT THE JEWISH CENTER IN MANHATTAN AS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, SEPTEMBER 14-15
Rabbi Steven Weil, Orthodox Union Executive Vice President, will serve as Scholar-in-Residence at The Jewish Center in Manhattan, to be held Friday, September 14-Saturday, September 15 (Shabbat Parshat Nitzavim). The synagogue is located at 131 West 86th Street.
Rabbi Weil will speak during the Friday night dinner on “Putting The Fun in Dysfunctional.” On Shabbat morning, he will address, “Can We Afford Tomorrow: The Challenges and Opportunities Facing the Future of Day School Education.” Rabbi Weil will speak Shabbat afternoon on “The Fascinating and Sublime World of the Rosh HaShana Machzor.” During seudah shlishit (the third meal on Shabbat), Rabbi Weil will discuss “What Does The Akeida Have To Do with Rosh Hashana?”
