OU EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO SERVE AS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE AT CONGREGATION TORAT-EMET/MAIN STREET SYNAGOGUE, SEPTEMBER 9-10 IN COLUMBUS
Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will travel to Columbus to serve Scholar–in-Residence at Congregation Torat-Emet, for Shabbat September 9-10, Parshat Ki Tetzei. The OU member synagogue is located at 2375 East Main Street in Bexley.
During Shabbat morning services, Rabbi Weil will discuss “The Casualties of the War.” In the afternoon, he will present a class on “Mindfields: Rambam's Analysis of the Six Spiritual Roadblocks That Preclude Teshuva (Repentence).” Rabbi Weil will also speak during seuda shlishit, the third Sabbath meal, on “Homo-Judaeo: The World’s Most Universal-Parochial Being.”
Rabbi Howard Zack, Rabbi of Congregation Torat-Emet, said, “I am very excited for the opportunity to share Rabbi Weil's insightful and energetic approach to Torah study with our congregation.
