It is with tremendous sorrow that the OU acknowledges the untimely passing of Moshe Berkowitz who was killed in a tragic car accident in Brooklyn late Monday evening, November 29th. Mr. Berkowitz was a 25-year old student at Yeshiva Ohr Yitzchok in Flatbush.
Shiva for Moshe Berkowitz will be observed at 1359 East 29 Street, Brooklyn, NY 11210 until Tuesday morning, December 7.Davening times: Shacharis 7 am; Mincha at 12:40 pm, Maariv 5 pm
"NCSY and the Orthodox Union are galvanized in our expressions of grief as we join the Berkowitz family in mourning the tragic petirah of Moshe," said NCSY International Director Rabbi Steven Burg. "Even though words of comfort often ring hollow at a time like this, Mo's legacy will surely live on in the lives of the NCSYers he brought closer to our Torah and mesorah," said NY NCSY Regional Director Rabbi Aryeh Lightstone.
