OU TO PRESENT ITS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL POSITIVE JEWISH PARENTING SEMINAR NOVEMBER 17, AT YOUNG ISRAEL OF NEW ROCHELLE
To strengthen parents' child-rearing skills and to help them to effectively communicate with their children, the Orthodox Union's Department of Community Services, in conjunction with the Young Israel of New Rochelle and the synagogue's Women's League, will present Positive Jewish Parenting on Saturday night, November 17.
The OU's Positive Jewish Parenting program has been presented to large audiences across North America on a variety of practical daily parenting issues and topics; now many New Rochelle-area families will benefit from the program as well. It will be held at the synagogue, 1228 North Avenue from 7:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
The presentations, based on Jewish values, will focus on strengthening relationships, enhancing communication, and developing healthy self-esteem in children.
According to Frank Buchweitz, OU National Director of Community Services and Special Projects, "The OU is pleased to partner with its member congregations all over the country to benefit their communities. On November 17," he continued, "couples in New Rochelle can enjoy a night out and learn from experts in the field and in our community."
"From years of experience we have learned just how crucial these workshops are for families and we hope that they will continue to benefit our communities throughout the country," he added.
Following registration, participants may select from the following workshops. They may choose from one of three sessions presented the first hour and then select from one of three other workshops the second hour.
