Sensitizing your Students to Their Peers Learning Challenges at Maayanot High School

This workshop will help sensitize students to a variety of learning challenges that their peers may be experiencing in school. The workshop consists of stations that mirror the disability for the student (for example hearing loss, Autism spectrum, reading and writing challenges, visual loss, and fine and gross motor issues) and include discussion questions for each station. The facilitator comes with all supplies needed for the workshop and will utilize staff at the school in order to help at each station. The workshop as a whole unit should take about 90 minutes. In addition, we will share follow-up ideas for your school to reinforce what the students have experienced.
