Palo Alto, CA – http://www.emekberacha.org
Dreaming of a job at Google or Yahoo? Want to apply to medical, law or graduate school at Stanford University? Want to go someplace where everyone knows your name? All these things are possible in the flourishing Jewish community in Palo Alto. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, and just a mile from Stanford, Cong. Emek Beracha has gone from a quaint Davening club (the Bank Minyan) 30 years ago to a full service community. There’s a Jewish day school nearby with 300 children, an Eruv, plentiful Kosher food, a Mikva, and NCSY. The Jewish Study Network, the most innovative and intellectually stimulating community Kollel in the country, now has 12 families in the Bay Area, all of whom learn daily here and eight of whom live here and Daven in Emek Beracha. Not too long ago, none of this existed. That’s the rate of growth of a good Silicon Valley start-up. But with all of this growth, Emek Beracha remains a welcoming, open, diverse modern community where individuals can see their impact.

San Francisco, CA - http://www.adathisraelsf.org
San Francisco is one of the world's most beautiful cities, and now has a growing Modern Orthodox community to match. Located in the scenic Sunset district, less then two miles from the Pacific Ocean, the Adath Israel community has many things to offer. A Community Kollel connected with Yeshiva University, a fabulous preschool, a wide range of children's programs, NCSY, multiple Day School options, a Kosher market/butcher shop, kosher restaurants and even a Kosher Krisy Kreme! If you're looking for a warm and dynamic community in a beautiful and exciting city with a diverse job market, then come see if San Francisco is right for you.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canadahttp://www.familyshul.org

We’ve got to be a warm community to survive out here in the tundra (just kidding – it really ain’t that bad!) – honestly we’re the nicest community you’ll find.
We have a beautiful, new (built in 2000), vibrant Modern Orthodox shul, with 260 families. We have about 50 Shomer Shabbos families in the community. We have two day schools, with chinuch catering to all ages and backgrounds. We have 5 mikvaos and 2 kosher restaurants! Full-time supermarket mashgiach with all the kosher amenities you could dream of, including a full range of cholov yisroel and pas yisroel products. We have a very active community kollel and shiurim and events on a daily basis. Housing is much more affordable than any big city, but with over a million people in Edmonton, we’re no yehupitz. The employment market is booming, with jobs in all sectors and for the doctors, we have shomer shabbos residencies available. Edmonton – the coolest Jewish community you’ll find.

New Orleans, LA - http://www.BethIsraelNOLA.com

Congregation Beth Israel is a diverse Orthodox Synagogue located in the Metairie suburb of New Orleans. Our community boasts a Kosher Deli and an upscale Morrocan restaurant, a kosher market, a mikveh, JCC, Day School, and we are beginning work on our new Eruv. Our Congregation has a new, young, Rabbinic Family in Rabbi Uri and Dahlia Topolosky and we have launched the "Minyan Project" - our committment to relocate 10 young families to the community by offering financial incentives, job assistance, and good old Southern hospitality. Incentives can include housing rental or loan subsidy, moving allowance, low-cost tuition at the New Orleans Jewish Day School ($2500), and free memberships to community organizations.

Our Congregation is 104 years old and 2 years renewed. Hurricane Katrina destroyed our old building and scattered our community, but today Beth Israel has reconstituted itself; new Torahs have been gifted to us from around the country, fresh faces have moved to our city, our multi-generational community has been re-engaged, and we have re-established our unique role as a partner within our warm, inclusive community.

New Orleans has an incredible amount in Jewish infrastructure, but the bottom line is: This is not a Jewish community where you only get serviced. This is a community where you can make a difference. Families with true pioneering spirits can help us reshape and redefine what our Jewish community will look like for years to come. There is really no other place in the country where you can go and bring your energy to help rebuild a synagogue, an entire Jewish community, as well as a whole city. Young people are driving New Orleans today, and we invite you to share in our renewed journey.
