Hungry to be Heard
Date:
05 Mar, 2009
Description:
As we enter yet another heavy eating season from Purim through Passover, how can educators be sensitive to the many students who may have eating disorders? This program will bring participants the first-hand account of a recovered eating disorder victim whose story was recently been told in a film produced by the Orthodox Union. The aim is to help educators, parents, and others better understand this issue from the perspective of the individuals’ struggles so that they may be more receptive to their needs.
