Reb Elimelech and the Chassidic Legacy of Brotherhood
Date:
12 Nov, 2012
Description:
Reb Elimelech and the Chassidic Legacy of Brotherhood takes the viewer to the slopes of the Carpathian Mountains where the Baal Shem Tov delivered his precious message to a generation wallowing in grief and suffering. The history, the message and the hope of the early chassidic movement is conveyed in a way that will teach and will touch.
It was the pious Reb Elimelech who turned Lizhensk into the Jerusalem of the chassidic world and it was from there that his doctrine of seeing only the good in others spread. This remarkable documentary, arranged with the most awe-inspiring music and containing unforgettable footage, portrays how this lesson is fulfilled today.
From sedarim in India to tomchei shabbos in Los Angeles and everywhere in between – there are a host of ways to reach out to others and so many of them such as Gemachim, Bikur Cholim, foster care, Hatzolah, Chaveirim, Zakkah, Yad Eliezer, Camps HASC and Simcha are captured in this film. You cannot watch this 63-minute film and emerge without a strengthened resolve to assist those in need.
