The Orthodox Union announces a grants program totaling $100,000 to empower its member synagogues and to bring synagogue programming to new heights of creativity.

OU member synagogues can compete for grants to fund innovative programming ideas that strengthen local synagogue, communal and Torah life. Five kehillot will receive up to $20,000 each to help turn their dream programs into reality.

We’re putting our shuls in the driver’s seat, so they can make our community work in new and exciting ways. We’re looking for ideas which can be easily replicated in other shuls so we can set our sights on a whole new level of community involvement.

We pride ourselves on working for you and your community, but we want to do more.

Application forms have been sent to all OU member synagogues. Deadline for submissions is September 26, 2005. For more information, call 212.613.8188 or email frank@ou.org.
