OU’S RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO BE PALM BEACH SYNAGOGUE SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, MARCH 4-5; CONTINUATION OF “FLORIDA COMMUNITY WEEKEND”

The Orthodox Union’s Rabbi Steven Weil will be scholar-in-residence at Palm Beach Synagogue for Shabbat March 4-5, Parshat Pekudei, Shabbat Shekalim. The OU-member synagogue is located at 120 North County Road.

Rabbi Weil will speak during Shabbat morning services on “Mirrors.” Following kiddish, he will lead a presentation on “Esther the Pyschologist: How a Young Jewish Woman Brought Down The Two Most Powerful Men on Earth.” In the afternoon, he will discuss “An Anatomy of the World’s Greatest Character Assassination.”

Rabbi Moshe Scheiner, rav of the Palm Beach Synagogue, declared, “We are looking forward to a wonderful Shabbat with Rabbi Weil. In today’s turbulent and transformative world, we eagerly await the guidance and inspiration that only one in a position of leadership such as Rabbi Weil can provide.”

The visit is a continuation of the “South Florida Community Weekend” held last month, during which a group of the OU’s highest-level representatives served as scholars-in-residence at the local synagogues to strengthen the already strong ties between the Orthodox community and the OU.
