OU’s Rabbi Weinreb to be Austin Guest Speaker, November 11-12

OU’S RABBI WEINREB TO BE GUEST SPEAKER AT ALEX SOLE MEMORIAL SHABBATON IN AUSTIN, NOVEMBER 11, 12

Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Emeritus Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb will be guest speaker in Austin at the Alex Sole Memorial Shabbaton, to be held the weekend of November 11-12, Parshat Vayera, at Congregation Tiferet Israel, located at 7300 Hart Lane. The OU and the synagogue are co-sponsors of the event.

Friday evening, in recognition that Alex Sole was both knowledgeable and proud of his Jewish heritage, Rabbi Weinreb will deliver a lecture on “The Surprising Diversity and Success of Hungarian Jewry.” He will follow up Shabbat afternoon with “The Intersection of Judaism and Psychology.” Rabbi Weinreb is a noted clinical psychologist, with many years of experience, in addition to his role as a rabbi.

Rabbi Weinreb said, “I am an old friend of Rabbi Eliezer Langer, the distinguished spiritual leader of the congregation. I have heard so many good things about the community. I look forward to experiencing a Shabbat with them.”
