OU’s Rabbi Weil to Visit Aventura as Scholar-in-Residence, 1/25-26

RABBI STEVEN WEIL, OU EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, TO VISIT AVENTURA AS SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, JANUARY 25-26

Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will visit the Aventura Jewish Community to serve as Scholar–in-Residence from Friday, January 25-Saturday, January 26 (Shabbat Parshat Beshalach).
The synagogue is located at 3575 NE 207th Street (second floor upstairs at the Waterways Shoppes).

Friday night, Rabbi Weil will speak at a special dinner at the synagogue, addressing “The Defining Issues That Will Shape 21st Century American Jewry.” Shabbat morning, he will present “Pay Me Now Or Pay Me Later,” with “The Two Most Powerful Women in Jewish History” discussed in a workshop before Mincha. Rabbi Weil will also speak at a Saturday night Melaveh Malka at the synagogue, discussing “Cacophony.”

Rabbi Chaim Albert of the Young Israel of Aventura, noted, “Aventura is the most densely populated Jewish community outside of Jerusalem. We eagerly await Rabbi Weil and the amazing impact he will have on our community as one of America’s leading Modern Orthodox personalities.”
