OU’s Rabbi Weil to Lead OU Community Weekend in Houston, 3/7-8

Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Rabbi Steven Weil will be scholar in residence at the United Orthodox Synagogues of Houston’s Pre-Purim Shabbaton from Friday, March 7 – Saturday, March 8 (Shabbat Parshat Vayikra).

The OU member synagogue is located at 9001 Greenwillow Street.

Rabbi Weil will be speaking on the topic “Next Steps” at the Friday night dinner with young adults at the home of Rabbi Barry and Gabi Gelman. On Shabbat morning, he will be delivering his sermon “Putting the Fun in Dysfunctional.” Following lunch at the synagogue, Rabbi Weil will be speaking about “Esther the Psychologist: How a Young Jewish Woman Brought Down the Two Most Powerful Men on Earth.” During seudat shlishit he will be delivering a presentation on “Intrigue in the Royal Court.”
