OU’s Rabbi Weinreb at the White Shul’s Shabbos of Gratitude on Anniversary of Sandy, 10/26

Orthodox Union Executive Vice President Emeritus Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb will serve as Scholar-in-Residence this Shabbat, October 26, Parshat Chayei Sarah, as The White Shul in Far Rockaway commemorates the first anniversary of Hurricane Sandy with a “Shabbos of Gratitude to Hashem.”

The White Shul is the name given to Congregation Kneseth Israel, 728 Empire Avenue.

Rabbi Weinreb will give the morning drasha on the topic, “Gratitude/Hodaah: Halachic and Psychological Perspectives. At 4:15 p.m., prior to Mincha, he will speak on “Viewing Hidden Miracles and Major Hurdles: Contemporary Relevance Based on Teachings of the Ramban.”
