OU PRESS PUBLISHES COMING OF AGE: AN ANTHOLOGY OF DIVREI TORAH FOR BAR AND BAT MITZVAH — THIRD AND FINAL VOLUME OF SIMCHA TRILOGY — BY DR. MANDELL GANCHROW

OU Press | Jewish Educational Publications, the publishing division of the Orthodox Union, has announced the publication of Coming of Age: An Anthology of Divrei Torah for Bar and Bat Mitzvah, the third and final volume in the popular Simcha Trilogy, collections of Torah thoughts for significant life-cycle events, edited by OU Past President Dr. Mandell Ganchrow.

Coming of Age presents a wide variety of engaging, thought-provoking ideas from prominent thinkers and scholars, serving as a refreshing potpourri of different literary styles and analytical methods. Each Torah thought celebrates the excitement of becoming a bar or bat mitzvah — of embracing a lifetime of mitzvah-observance and service to God.

The first volume of the Simcha Trilogy addresses the “Sheva Brachot” week that follows a wedding, and the second volume features thoughts appropriate for a Brit Milah (circumcision) ceremony.

In the style of its preceding volumes in the Simcha Trilogy, ideas within Coming of Age are arranged according to the weekly Torah portion. Each essay lends itself easily and naturally to a five-to-ten-minute long speech at a bar or bat mitzvah celebration.

Do you have to speak at a bar or bat mitzvah celebration? You’ll find all the ideas you need here to encourage and inspire the young man or woman who is ‘coming of age.’ Use this book and watch the invitations come pouring in!

The OU Press publishes books that enhance and deepen appreciation of the Torah text, including Unlocking the Torah Text by Rabbi Shmuel Goldin, Darosh Darash Yosef by Rabbi Avishai David, and Echoes of Eden by Rabbi Ari Kahn.
