ORTHODOX UNION AND JCRC TO PRESENT A NATIONAL WEBINAR FOCUSING ON HIGH HOLIDAY SECURITY FOR SHULS, AUGUST 31, 6:00-7:00 P.M. EDT

The Orthodox Union and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York will present a national webinar focusing on the preparations and preventive measures to safeguard synagogues for the High Holidays and throughout the year.

A project of the OU Department of Community Services | Jewish Community Programs, the webinar will be presented on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. EDT. The webcast is intended for the Orthodox Union’s national audience, not just for synagogues in the New York area.

Topics to be covered by experts will include:

• High Holiday Security Countdown: What should you be doing now? What steps should you take a day, a week, or close to a month before the High Holidays?

• Building a Culture of Security: Do you have a security committee? Who else should be involved? Should you hire guards?

• Is someone watching? How do you train your staff and members to detect hostile surveillance?

• If disaster strikes, do you have a plan? What can go wrong? Are you ready to respond?

Upon registration, an email will be sent regarding all necessary information for full participation in the event. To reserve a place, contact the OU Department of Community Services at (212) 613-8300.
