Over the past several years the OU, in partnership with the Harry H. Beren Foundation of Lakewood, has developed numerous kashrus educational programs for the benefit of the public. First came the training of kashrus personnel through ASK OU Kashrus internship programs for bnei kollel and semicha students. Then came ASK OU OUTREACH which brought OU Kashrus experts to many yeshivos and kollelim as well as communities throughout the length and breadth of the United States. Some of these communities include Los Angeles; Portland, OR; Hollywood, FL; New Haven; Boston; Monsey; Passaic; Far Rockaway and the Five Towns; Kew Gardens Hills; Boro Park; Flatbush; the Syrian community in Brooklyn; the Persian community in Great Neck; and this past Sunday (March 18) the Bucharian community in Forest Hills. The Harry H. Beren Foundation of Lakewood also sponsors the popular VISIT OU programs where day schools, high schools, yeshivos and camps visit the OU and learn about kashrus at OU headquarters. Recently, an Advanced Kashrus Seminar for Women was begun for those ladies who wish to enrich their knowledge of kashrus.

Rabbi Yosef Grossman, Senior OU Educational Rabbinic Coordinator, remarked, “It is with great pleasure that we are able to bring this special Pre-Pesach ASK OU OUTREACH kashrus program to Lakewood, the home of the Harry H. Beren Foundation of Lakewood, New Jersey, which has sponsored our multi-faceted programming for so many years. We are especially pleased to offer these shiurim of the foremost contemporary kashrus experts to the bnei hayeshivos who will produce from their ranks bs”d the future kashrus experts of the next generation. We look forward to our continuing partnership with the Beren Foundation in promoting these unique kashrus educational experiences for many years to come.”
