OU JOB BOARD TO PRESENT TWO “RESUMÉ CHECKUP DAYS” IN SOUTH FLORIDA: JULY 25 IN BOCA RATON, AUGUST 6 IN MIAMI BEACH
The OU Job Board | Employment and Resumé Opportunities will host two “Resumé Checkup Days” in South Florida for students and professionals. The events are open by reservation only at www.oujobs.org on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first event will take place on Thursday, July 25 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the Boca Raton Synagogue, 7900 Montoya Circle. The second event will be held in Miami Beach on Tuesday, August 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Beth Israel Congregation, 770 W. 40th Street.
A leader in the field of career development and enhancement, the OU Job Board created the concept for the “15 minute resumé tune-up” which developed into the Resumé Checkup Day, at which a team of qualified career counselors and expert resumé writers spend time with each candidate to review previously created materials. This allows suggestions and corrections to be made on the spot using the newest resumé guidelines to give job seekers an advantage; and candidates can be assisted in deciding a direction to pursue in their job searches.
“Taking 15 minutes to tune-up a resumé can make a difference in your life forever,” emphasized Michael Rosner, international director of the OU Job Board. “Whether you are employed or not, it’s always a good idea and prudent decision to have your resumé checked out by a professional, who can evaluate its strengths and weaknesses and advise the best ways to present yourself and your qualifications in the best possible light.”
The OU Job Board has held resumé tune-ups in the Greater New York and New Jersey areas, Atlanta, Memphis, and in Israel.
