OU Job Board Presents Classes in Adobe Program in January and February

With the economy still in turmoil, more and more people are choosing to retool their computer skills to give themselves an edge on the job market. The OU Job Board will provide an invaluable service when it presents classes in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign, all to take place at OU headquarters in Manhattan on January 26, 28, February 2, 4, 9, and 11.

Michael Rosner, Director of OU Job Board, declared, “The OU Job Board consistently keeps the needs of the people it serves in mind. We know that many in the community are hoping to learn or to polish their technical skills, and so we are pleased to provide classes to help those people put their best foot forward in the job market.”

Linda Wong, Computer Graphics Professor at Bramson ORT College, will teach all the classes.

Adobe Photoshop will take place from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. on January 26, 28, and February 2, 4, 9, and 11. Topics that will be covered include adjustments; filters; layers; and advertising effects.

Adobe Illustrator will take place from 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. on January 26, 28, February 2, 4, 9, and 11. Topics that will be covered include compound path and masking; creating geometric shapes and drawing in Illustrator; drawing Disney characters with pen tools; and creating patterns/textiles with swatches palettes in Illustrator.

Adobe InDesign will take place from 1:30- 2:45 p.m. on January 26, 28, February 2, 4, 9, and 11. Topics covered will include working with text; working with color; creating graphics; and exploring advanced techniques.
