SOLD OUT: OU JOB BOARD ONLINE CLASSES; INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION EVIDENCE OF VITALITY TO IMPROVE SKILLS TO BATTLE JOB MARKET

The next cycle of e-Learning classes (online courses) offered by the Orthodox Union Job Board will begin November 1. Each of the courses — Dreamweaver, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and QuickBooks — are sold out, with an international registration list of close to 200 participants, from Hong Kong to Israel and within the United States.

The Job Board classes are taught via Web-Ex, as a free online classroom, which allows for participants to interact with their instructors. Courses are closed once they reach maximum capacity, to ensure that each participant feels comfortable to interact within the group dynamic. Classes take place for one-and-a-half hours once a week, for a six-week period.

Michael Rosner, International Director of the OU Job Board, declared, “Our registered course participants has doubled for this session — evidence that people are still unemployed, but realize the importance of retraining and improving employment skills. This vital message is finally part of the mentality within the mainstream job market, which we at the OU Job Board have been stressing for years. We continue striving to accommodate the needs within the greater community to improve career advancement in an unaccommodating economy.”

To accommodate the growing demand for career retooling, online sessions are already being organized in order to begin as soon as the November courses end in December. Additional December sessions will also be offered on location for participants living in the greater New York area. Classes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Further information on those courses will be provided at a later date. A free registration on the Job Board website (www.oujobs.org) will send information directly to your email.

The OU Job Board is a leader in career advancement retraining by providing a variety of services to help job seekers advance: career counseling; resumé updating; an RSS feed which can be customized by location and job field; webcasts; the ability to directly upload personal resumés to be viewed by potential employers; and the ability directly respond to available positions posted on the website.
