OU JOB BOARD TO PRESENT ‘NETWORKING FOR ATTORNEYS,’ FEBRUARY 28 AT OU HEADQUARTERS; PROMINENT LAWYERS TO SPEAK AND TO PARTICIPATE IN NETWORKING WITH EMPLOYMENT CANDIDATES

The OU Job Board | Employment and Resumé Opportunities will present “Networking for Attorneys,” to be held Thursday, February 28 at 5:30 p.m. at OU headquarters, 11 Broadway. The program will focus on “out of the box job opportunities for attorneys,” explained Michael Rosner, Director of the Job Board. When this program was first presented in 2012, the response was enthusiastic from the legal community.

“This is an unbelievable opportunity for lawyers who are looking to network with senior legal firm representatives,” Mr. Rosner declared. “Last time we ran this it was sold out! Where else would a lawyer be able to meet senior partners in a variety of law fields to guide them or in some cases to offer them a job! We expect the same results on February 28.”

In the session on “out of the box opportunities” the topics to be discussed include:

• Job Prospects: openings and opportunities.
• Solo Practice: Stick your toe in the water — it’s not as cold as you think.
• Chapter 11– What you don’t want to hear.
• Credit and Legal Risks — What they are, who gets hurt.

Presenters will include Mordecai T. Schwartz, Schwartz Goldstone & Campisi, LLP; Sol Feder, Regosin, Edwards, Stone & Feder; Shaya Rochester, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Yehudah Forster, Vice President- Senior Credit Officer, Moody’s Investors Service.
Moderators will be Zaki Isaac B. Tamir, Shapiro Tamir Law Group PLLC; Solomon Neubort, Senior Appellate Counsel for the Kings County District Attorney; Shaya Rochester, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Maimon Kirschenbaum, formerly with Joseph & Kirschenbaum LLP.

The second session will feature networking, moderated by the presenters.
