OU JOB BOARD ANNOUNCES STATEN ISLAND JOB FAIR, MAY 11; REGISTRATION UNDERWAY FOR EMPLOYERS; JOB SEEKERS CAN REGISTER APRIL 26
The OU Job Board | Employment and Resumé Opportunitiesannounces the 2011 Staten Island Job Fair, in conjunction with the Joan and Alan Bernikow Jewish Center. The Fair will take place on Wednesday, May 11 from 3:00 -7:00 p.m. at the JCC, 1466 Manor Road. Fair registration is currently underway for employers. Registration is mandatory and free. Online registration for job seekers will open Wednesday, April 26.
Employers with available jobs are encouraged to contact Michael Rosner, Director of the OU Job Board. If interested employers are unable to attend the Fair in person, the Job Board will provide them with the opportunity to conduct virtual interviews with set appointments via WebEx, an interactive chatroom. Employers are equipped with a display table and chairs, Wi-Fi, promotional signage, snacks and promotional ads.
At past OU Job Fairs in the United States and Israel, individuals have been hired on the spot or scheduled to visit a company for a second interview.
Declared Mr. Rosner, “Past OU Job Fairs have been tremendously beneficial for both employers and job seekers, as we limit the job seekers who attend the fairs to only those qualified for the positions advertised. In doing this, we receive a higher quality of people whose expertise is the job looking to be filled. At our Brooklyn Job Fair this February, the OU Job Board had an incredible 12 percent hiring rate from the Fair attendees.”
