OU HONORS SCHREIBER FOODS INC. AT ANNUAL DINNER, DECEMBER 6

Schreiber Foods Inc. will be honored at the Orthodox Union’s 111th Annual Dinner & Awards Presentation, with the National Kashrut Leadership Award, Sunday evening, December 6 at the Hudson Theater and Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York.

“Schreiber Foods Inc., which has dedicated itself to maintaining an excellent OU Kosher program, is eminently deserving of this honor,” declared OU Kosher CEO Rabbi Menachem Genack. “Ours has been a long and close partnership. The company has earned an outstanding reputation within the industry, and with this award the OU acknowledges Schreiber’s ongoing commitment to quality and innovation. We are proud to salute Schreiber for its accomplishments.”

Schreiber, with headquarters in Green Bay, Wis., is a privately held dairy company with sales in excess of $4 billion. Its products –which include process, natural, cream and specialty cheese and yogurt—are sold primarily through customer brand distribution programs. Schreiber has sales, processing and distribution facilities in the United States, Brazil, China, Germany, India, Mexico and Uruguay.

Schreiber is also very active in its communities. Schreiber’s commitment to community giving started with the company’s founders in 1945, and that spirit lives on today through the words and actions of the company and its employees. Schreiber and its employees support a variety of charitable organizations in different categories including health and human services; community development; and education and life-long learning. These organizations fit the needs of the communities in which Schreiber operates and reflect the abilities and desires of Schreiber partners.

Michael J. Haddad, President and CEO of Schreiber, will accept the award on behalf of the company.
