OU BROOKLYN JOB FAIR 8/24 MOVED TO BROOKLYN COLLEGE HILLEL

To accommodate the large number of people who want to attend, the Orthodox Union Job Board announced today that its Brooklyn Job Fair, which was to have been held at the Young Israel of Flatbush on Tuesday, August 24 from 4-7 p.m., has been moved to Brooklyn College Hillel, 2901 Campus Road, Second Floor, Main Auditorium; the time has not been changed. The 2 and the 5 trains are just steps away at the Flatbush Avenue/Brooklyn College station.

Already 400 people have registered for the Fair. Moving to Brooklyn College Hillel will permit more people to register. More than 40 companies will be conducting job interviews.

According to OU Job Board Director Michael Rosner, Rabbi Reuven Boshnack, who with his wife Shira conducts the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus program at Brooklyn College, a joint project of the OU and Hillel, put Mr. Rosner in touch with Hillel officials to arrange for the change of the site.

Declared Mr. Rosner, “Thanks to Rabbi Boshnack and Hillel, the Job Fair will be able to accommodate even more people than previously. There is a great need, and so the Orthodox Union wanted to assure that everyone who wants to attend will be able to do so. We had to close registration, but now the doors are open again.”
