The OU Job Board and the Joan and Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island will present the third Staten Island Job Fair on Tuesday, August 26 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1466 Manor Road.
The fee is $10 for pre-registered job-seekers, $20 at the door. There is a $200 fee for employers interested in participating in the event.
The OU Job Board will be providing set-up equipment to employers including display tables, tablecloth, chairs, water, snacks, WiFi, and signage of companies’ names and locations. Welcome kits and a directory of jobs being offered by each company will be distributed.
Michael Rosner, executive director of the Job Board, declared, “Past OU Job Fairs have been tremendously beneficial for both employers and job seekers, as we try to limit the job seekers who attend the fairs to only those qualified for the positions advertised. In doing this, we receive a higher percentage of people whose expertise is in the job to be filled. At our Israel Job Fair this May, the OU Job Board had an incredible 14 percent hiring rate and close to 35 percent rate of second interviews for the candidates.”
