OU Hails U.S. House Resolution Condemning Anti-Semitism

19 Sep 2014

Today, the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (OU), the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, applauded the United States House of Representatives for passing House Resolution 707, “condemning all forms of anti-Semitism and rejecting attempts to justify anti-Jewish hatred or violent attacks as an acceptable expression of disapproval or frustration over political events in the Middle East or elsewhere.”

“Yesterday, Congress clearly stated that political protest is one thing, and anti-Semitic hate speech another,” said Nathan Diament, Executive Director of the Orthodox Union Advocacy Center. “This resolution speaks to the dedication of our government to fighting anti-Semitism at home and abroad. We commend the Congress for its leadership on this critical matter.”
