OU Chairman of the Board Stephen J. Savitsky to Serve as Scholar-in-Residence at Young Israel of North Woodmere this Shabbat

Orthodox Union Chairman of the Board Stephen J. Savitsky will be serving as scholar-in-residence at the Young Israel of North Woodmere on Saturday, May 31 (Shabbat Parshat Naso).

The OU member synagogue is located at 634 Hungry Harbor Road.

Mr. Savitsky will be delivering a presentation at 7 p.m. before mincha on “Looking at the Orthodox Jewish World from 35,000 Feet……..Fasten Your Seat Belts There is Turbulence Ahead.”

Rabbi Yehuda Septimus shared, “We are very much looking forward to hosting Mr. Savitsky again in our shul.  Mr. Savitsky is a tremendous leader and role model within our community, and the first time he spoke in our shul, his profound message and powerful presentation were very well received.   We expect a similarly positive reception for his presentation this week, and we are deeply appreciative as a community to have people like Mr. Savitsky taking the time to formulate and address the important issues facing our community not only today but in the decades ahead.”
