NEW YORK NCSY REACHES A MILESTONE

With hundreds of Jewish teenagers looking to learn more about their heritage in a fun and relaxing environment, highly popular New York NCSY’s programming attracted over 500 attendees to last week’s events.

“We are extremely proud of our accomplishments this year,” declared Rabbi Nahum Zak, Regional Director of the New York Region. “What I am most proud of though, is our focus on the level of quality each teen experiences in our programs, and the tremendous response we have encountered in their growth and commitment to Judaism.”

The numbers for the past week were carefully calculated by the New York NCSY team. “We counted signatures on each event’s attendance sheets,” stated Jon Ackerman, Director of Programming. “This is truly a momentous occasion for us.”

The Region currently runs more than 25 weekly programs in public schools and local communities within the five boroughs and Westchester, as well as regional conventions, including the upcoming Winter Regional Convention in Richmond, VA.

NCSY, a program of the Orthodox Union, is a multi-faceted Jewish youth group. Offering social and educational programming in hundreds of communities across the U.S. and Canada, NCSY is a leader in bringing unaffiliated youth an awareness of what Judaism is all about.
